How the calculator works
The Revenue Uplift Calculator uses a CTR (click-through rate) curve model based on aggregated industry data for Google organic search results. Here is what happens behind the scenes.
CTR curve lookup
Each ranking position is mapped to an estimated organic click-through rate. Position 1 averages around 31.7%, while position 10 drops to roughly 2.0%. Results beyond page one receive significantly less traffic – positions 11–20 average about 1.0%, and positions 51–100 see as little as 0.1%.
Click estimation
The tool multiplies your monthly search volume by the CTR for both your current and target positions to calculate estimated monthly clicks in each scenario. The difference is the additional traffic you could gain.
Revenue projection
Additional clicks are multiplied by your conversion rate and average order or lead value to project the revenue uplift – both monthly and annualised.
